Valencia CF midfielder Pepelu has now reached 100 official appearances for the club after playing minutes against Athletic Club in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey.
The player from Dénia joined the Valencian side in the summer of 2023 from Levante UD, and his first official match with Valencia CF was on August 11, 2023, against Sevilla FC at the Sánchez Pizjuán. From that moment on, he has accumulated, across all competitions (LaLiga and the Copa del Rey), 39 matches in the 2023–24 season, 39 in the 2024–25 season, and 22 in the current campaign.
Throughout these one hundred official matches, Pepelu has steadily become a key figure—and one of the captains—of the team coached by Carlos Corberán. His performances even earned him a call-up to the Spain senior national team in 2024 for the Nations League Group A4 matches against Serbia and Switzerland.
